Description
Here’s something that takes patience and, well, probably a bit of stubbornness too. In Climb the Impossible Mountain, you don’t run or jump; you grab and pull yourself up by using just your mouse or a gamepad. It sounds simple but the catch is in how sensitive—and sometimes frustratingly unforgiving—the controls are. The entire mountain is one big obstacle course, not necessarily gigantic visually, but each section will test your nerve and timing.
No health bars here. No enemies to punch, either. You can’t even really lose in the classic sense—you’ll never die—but make a single wrong move and you might find yourself tumbling all the way back down to where you started... That part really matters, really.
It’s interesting: I found myself starting out pretty relaxed before realizing how quickly one miscalculated grab could wipe away twenty minutes of progress.
The challenge is basically about learning from failure and growing more precise with every slip or plummet (and there will be plenty). The mountain itself almost feels like it was designed to taunt you at times—one particular icy ledge almost made me quit for good—but the satisfaction when things finally click is tough to match.
Probably not for those looking for quick rewards or flashy unlocks. This one’s about slow mastery and personal grit.

So I’ll admit, at first I figured this would be another odd physics-based platformer—boy was I off. Ten minutes in and my palms were already sweating as I tried inching up some ridiculous ledge using just my left hand on the mouse. Sometimes it felt like my fingers were climbing too!
There were honestly moments where frustration got to me (especially after sliding halfway down), but then something changes when you actually clear a section you’ve struggled with forever—you sort of forget how annoyed you were.
Still, it’s punishing in its own way. Maybe a little too much sometimes? Having no checkpoints makes every tiny mistake sting more than most games manage these days.
But despite that, reaching new heights—even briefly—had me grinning like an idiot. Not sure everyone will have the patience for it though.
