Box Journey isn’t just another run-and-jump platformer, even if it looks that way at the start. You’re literally moving a box—simple enough—but the game throws in some smart twists once you’re a few levels deep. You’ll find yourself figuring out how to maneuver through narrow ledges, jumping onto springy platforms, and sometimes just staring at the screen thinking, “wait, where am I supposed to go now?” It’s interesting how quickly the difficulty ramps up without feeling unfair. The controls are super tight which matters more than you'd expect for a box. There’s not much story in cutscene form—mostly atmosphere and little visual cues about where this world is heading—but somehow you get drawn in anyway. Expect moments of frustration when you miss those pixel-perfect jumps (yeah, happens), but finally clearing a level feels surprisingly good. Well, until the next one tests you again. This game really aims at players who enjoy precision challenges more than just casual playthroughs. Kids might find some stages tough unless they’re patient. For puzzle-platformer fans who like short bursts of problem-solving with just enough charm sprinkled around, Box Journey probably fits right into their library.

I thought Box Journey would be easy when I loaded it up—the first few screens are pretty basic, so I settled in. But wow, things got complicated fast! There’s an odd sense of tension every time you jump because missing means starting over more than once… which actually kept me on my toes longer than I expected. The visuals grew on me too; nothing flashy but there's something cozy about it all. One thing though—the difficulty spikes feel a bit unpredictable in places (you know those trial-and-error bits?), and I got stuck longer than I wanted on two particular levels. Still, completing each stage felt worth it after a few tries. If you like twitchy puzzles or weirdly charming indie games with bite-sized challenge runs, give this one a go.
