Collecting apples isn’t really optional; it’s sort of your measure of success here. The pace can shift on you unexpectedly—a calm stretch, then suddenly there’s three things flying at once and your timing gets properly tested. It’s interesting how the controls feel forgiving at first, until precision actually matters. For younger players or anyone new to platformers, it’s approachable enough but there are moments that’ll catch you by surprise. Personally I found myself kind of sucked into getting just one more apple after I missed an obvious one early on…that part really matters, really. It doesn’t fuss about with storylines or fancy upgrades; it gives you classic platforming, pure and simple—maybe not revolutionary but solid fun for short bursts.

First run: I laughed when I missed the first jump—thought this would be too easy but no, those cliffs aren’t messing around. There’s something satisfying about clearing a tricky bit only to get blindsided by a monster hiding right where you least expect it (a little frustrating too). Apples seem everywhere until suddenly they’re not and you’ve got to backtrack or take risks for them. I wish there were maybe a couple checkpoints per level—it stings to start over if you mess up late in the stage. But honestly, that might be what keeps me trying again because every time I think “alright this is my last go,” I hit play again anyway. Sometimes games don’t need bells and whistles—they just need tight jumps and the urge to beat your own score.
